As you all know I have gone back to smaller scales but this might be the one that does me in. T Gauge layout themed on UK. Adam will be supplying some of his graphics for the EMU stock, I have a baby Deltic body on its way and then will have to decide if the Deltic is for Freight or Passenger haulage.
In T gauge I imagine a marble would be about the size of a small moon.
Er, :photospleasesign:
Ah - a Baby Deltic
If only DJ Models had theirs ready in N.
I can't wait to see your experiments with 3 link couplings!
I was in a model shop in Edinburgh and in a display cabinet
there was a T scale girder bridge next to an O gauge
wagon and it looked like a small ladder. quite tempted by
T gauge but in the videos I've seen the trains seem to
go at about 300mph.

Jerry my reply is not forum friendly but 4 letters followed by 3 letters should suffice.
Whilst in brain dead mode I could also order one of these http://www.tgauge.com/product/71/2/english-electric-deltic-kit, (http://www.tgauge.com/product/71/2/english-electric-deltic-kit,) and also get a 3d printed Warship just to throw a spanner in the works all would be powered unfortunately the class 08 are too small for motors.

The new controllers are much better and you can get realistic speeds
I bought a T gauge HST and some track. Plan is to make a little scale model shelf layout (about 3'x1') of Coryton Cove near Dawlish. Seaside, cliffs with tunnel at each end, and two tracks for the HST to whizz up and down. The HST runs well so far at slow and fast speeds. The only problem is derailing caused by the buffet car motor being faster than the power cars. It runs fine if I leave the buffet out. Bit of fun running a 2+6 HST on a shelf!
Mark have you tried running with the buffet car as the lead motor.
I can even get Mk 1 coaches in different types so will look into that as well.
Are the bodyshells interchangeable? I will try that sometime after the house move.
Yes, i've been browsing Shapeways and tgauge.com for a loco and coach set, and like the 108 DMU. Gets expensive though...
I have a t gauge layout. I have a hst a warship and a 2 car dmu.I have found them all to run quite well but there is a marked lack of good points /switches so have found it rather limited to a tail chaser or a simple out and back dmu line.

Not sure as I don't own a set but can find out for you. Unfortunately once you factor in shapeways it gets expensive in any scale
Maybe Ditape can answer your question about the HST
Just had a quick look, it's crazy expensive given the size and thus inherent lack of detail, I guess you're paying for tiny volumes and the need for all the micro engineering. does look good though!

Some shots of my t-gauge layout Little Fiddleton it fits on a A1 size foam board base.
I have enough difficulty with N gauge... T gauge is beyond me.
Ms Tape, you have my unbounded admiration!

Chris
The Baby Deltic has arrived and is currently in the paint shop ( Old wooden cigar box ) and will emerge at the end of the week. I was also surprised with the gift of a Mk1 carriage body so that is also waiting for paint(need to buy it first) so that might be a bit longer before it surfaces on bogies and painted.
Some of the Japanese produced buildings that I have had for some time pictured below

And yes those silver fire escapes are in etches and have to be fitted

Workaround: find a 3x magnifying glass.

Why didn't I think of that? 1/150 would be close enough ;D
Insane part of project just started :help:
Am currently trying to put blobs of paint on some motorcycles and their riders to make them look realistic.
Each figure is approx. 2mm tall  :o
Good luck!

I have an eight coach ICE3. It is a :censored: nightmare to put it on the track and the gap between the coaches is far too big. Once it is on the track it runs very well

T Gauge baby deltic shell sitting on 20p coin. Photo is very cruel but looks OK with normal vision not macro on camera. Hand Painted using 10/0 brush
Not yet finished need to tidy up a few bits
Spotted this in the Railway Modeller I picked up today. I believe it's smaller than a 5p piece!

I have to say it looks exquisite but I'd hate to sneeze during its construction :worried:

T gauge Mk 1 coach overall length 44mm supplied unpainted without bogies as a kit from the shop on Talkintgauge.net painted by hand in Humbrol Crimson Lake looks worse in the picture than real life. 8M macro photo really brings out the worst.
Policeman to passer by "I'm looking for a small boy with one eye"
Passer by to policeman "If he's that small you'd better use both eyes"

Have just ordered one as I needed some other bits as well.
Foamboard for baseboard just purchased overall size will be 800 x 350 which will fit between the wheel arches and fit in through the rear hatch of my little car without tilting. :claphappy:

Copied from T Gauge.com website just to give you an idea how small the wheel sets are.

I'll need new spex if I switch to T gauge, do T gauge modellers say
that N looks toylike ? ;D

I think a lot of T gauge modellers also do other scales as well. I have Z and also boxed up apart from track which will have to be bought again I have Japanese N scale trams :-\
If you hear screams of terror from my direction, be aware I am starting to build that T Gauge Brass Signal Box.
