Many compliments to Leicester City and its "our" coach Claudio Ranieri for winning Premier League...a really big emprise
Cheers to FOXES.
MARCO
As a supporter of a Championship Club it's many, many congratulations to Leicester City.
Just shows what can be achieved and gives us all hope. A real breath of fresh air and good to see that the so called "big boys" have missed out.
Very well done and very well deserved.
Wondering how big the grin on @Calnefoxile (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=619) face is this morning?
Certainly a story and a half, love the idea of loyal fans doing well out of the bookies after a speculative punt on a 5000/1 shot at the season start.
People on the radio today saying that's the same sort of odds as Elvis walking down Oxford Street.
Uh huh huh!

To be honest I am no footie fan, only watching the World Cup when it's on, but I have to admit I have been following the Foxes this season for the simple reason it's a fairy tale come true.
Huge congratulations to the entire staff at the club as they have done, on no money at all, what so called 'big name' clubs have failed to do with all their squillions.
The match between Chelsea and Spurs last night was a true advert for English football - 9 Tottingham players yellow carded :unimpressed:
Oh, I came to this thread expecting to hear juicy stories involving marco neri's post lady :hmmm:
Well done Leicester and lets hope more lower rated teams win in the future.
I just hate how much money is spent on footballers.

We've only gone and done it.........
We've won the bl00dy Premiership :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
I never thought that I'd see anything like this in my lifetime, I've been following Leicester City for the best part of 45 years, and apart from the 'success' that Martin O'Neill bought us in the late 90's, this is now the 'real' big time for us.
I just hope that we can keep most of our team together, especially the likes of Kante, Schmeichel, Mahrez & Vardy, and we can just improve the squad quality for our, I really can't believe I'm saying this, Champions League Campaign!!
Anyway well done to Claudio and the boys, a lot of praise has to go towards Nigel Pearson for starting this team building which Claudio has finished off. Could we have won the title with Pearson at the helm?? No I don't think so, he's a great manager for getting teams into this position, but I don't think he can quite take them all the way.
Regards from 1 very happy Foxes fan

Before..I just should listen to my wife...what she thinks about it...may be I will be forced to emigrate to UK..
I watched City for the first time in 1959 (may even have been '58) at Filbert Street. Over the years there have been many high points & more disappointments, notably the three FA Cup Final defeats in the '60s. I was at Wembley for two of these.
This season's achievement is incredible & makes up for all the near things over the years.
PS. Guess the location in the photo which was taken in March this year.
And our own Ben Ando was on Radio 2 this morning, reporting from the stadium!

And I'm sure the 4-3 defeat to the mighty Swindon Town on May 31st 1993 at Wembley hurt so much that you couldn't even mention it in your post didn't it? :claphappy:
I was at Wembley for that one, were you? And @Calnefoxile (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=619) who must be celebrating so hard he hasn't read his PMs, were you there for that one?
Well done Leicester, it's a great advert for the 'smaller' clubs :bounce:

Oh yes, yet another defeat to a last minute dubious penalty, seemed to be all rage for Leicester at Wembley. ;) ;)
I wasn't there, but I did record it as I was out on Marshalling at Oulton Park that day, I think it was Touring Car weekend, but anyway, I did the Likely Lads thing of keeping away from any mention of the score so I could settle down to watch it. So there I was sat in front of the telly, watching the 1st half and only being 1-0 down, thought ah well we're still in it, then after 10 minutes of the 2nd half we were 3-0 down, I almost turned it off and chucked the video through the window (see how old I am, video!! :D :D ) Anyway I persevered and what a fight back by the Mighty Foxes and then that disgraceful dive by Steve White in the 84th minute to give Swindle town the win. ;) ;)
I have read my PM's, just been to busy at work to get them done., hopefully today.
Cheers
Neal.
Is it a VHS? If so I have the video if you want to make a copy? I'll have to be in attendance though, we don't want anything untoward happening to it do we?
Nothing dubious about the penalty either, Chalky White was upended so badly he wasn't able to take the penalty himself. You had to be 1 of the 73,802 there to appreciate it fully :D
Roger roger, over and out

Didn't you get one of those of your own at Vicarage Road not so long ago? It famously rebounded on the Foxes I seem to recall.... :D
Very pleased you've upset the apple cart and won the Premier League this year though!

Very lucky man who was at King Power Stadium yesterday..

I think what Leicester have achieved is a real inspiration.
Good luck next season.
Just hoping that having survived this season in the Championship, my team (Bristol City) can maybe make it up to the top division again one day. I was lucky enough to witness 4 year in the top flight in the late 70s.
By the way , I've seen my team at Old Tarfford three times and never seen Man Utd score. I've seen a 0-0 draw and Bristol City win 3-0 and 1-0 (a very proud record indeed).
Nearly made it to the top dividion again a few years back but it is such an anti climax to lose in the Play Off final (never did like than Dean Windass bloke).
