I have had great results by using printed brick sheets (I cant see any reason why the ones you can print wouldnt work), then gluing them onto a piece of card (up one side, over the top and down the other) if your using PVA then clamp the wall between 2 slightly uneven surfaces, such as coarse sandpaper, This way the embossing will be "set" in the PVA and more durable.
Concrete capping stones can be added from scored card strips painted with emulsion.

From the Goods and Not so Goods website, "You can get random stone plastic card but another option is to use a suitably fine 'wood chip' embossed paper,"

I use either slaters 2mm platicard.........http://www.cheltenhammodelcentre.com/shopexd.asp?id=8078 (http://www.cheltenhammodelcentre.com/shopexd.asp?id=8078)

Or Peco wall sheets......the plastic is a lot thicker than plasticard and can be awkward to cut.Ideal for retaining walls though.......http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/732_1_1039235.html (http://www.anticsonline.co.uk/732_1_1039235.html)

The website link that Lawrence gave us and some cardboard may do the trick.

the problem with Ratio is the thickness of the plastic, nearly 1/8" ish and the size of the individual pieces, perhaps 3"x3", it's hard to work with. My usual source is/was Squires their catalogue is/was full of moulded plasticard. Are they still extant?. cheers john

The Slaters website includes their full range of embossed Plastikard (including pictures) and allows online ordering.

Try my trick of clamping it between sand papers, you will be impressed :)
