Couldn't get all the mail from the letter box today.
Was occupied.

Brown Tree Snake.
Low aggression.
Mildly venomous according to snake guide. I would not take the chance.
Hope it moves out soon or I will have to use long tongs to get the mail out.
CFJ
Tongs looking likely. It looks kinda comfortable.
At least no one is going to pinch your mail.

Oh, I don't know - thesedays it wouldn't surprise me if someone tried to steal it, got bit, and then sued you for not ensuring your mailbox was a safe place for them to steal from!
God, I sound old.... :-\

This is merely a cigarette papers thickness away from reality.
How cool is that? The most exotic denizens in my letter box are house spiders.
Maybe a new sign is required 'junk mail posters will be eaten'!
Makes a change from snail mail I suppose.

Unfortunately not. Checked this morning and it has moved on. Now just have to be on the lookout for the more usual redbacks in the letterbox.
Still have to be cautious when lowering the patio roll-up blind as a python seems to like it as a hammock.

That Michael Palin bloke will sleep anywhere ::)
Could have been worse - but as I've said before, in this country, all spiders have eight legs, all sharks have teeth, and all snakes have fangs. You definitely don't take chances!
Bet you got a shock, though. ;)
