Title: And we also lose Frank Finlay ...
Post by: MikeDunn on January 31, 2016, 05:07:03 PM
Lost in the plethora of reports about Sir Terry is the sad news that we have also lost Frank Finlay (89) yesterday ...

Porthos in the Musketeer films of the 70s and 80s; starred in the infamous 'Bouquet' TV series; appeared as Inspector Lestrade in a couple of Sherlock Holmes films; and humorous roles in Doctor In Distress, The Sandwich Man, Inspector Clouseau and Blackadder to name but four of his lighter roles.

What a lethal month January has been to the arts ...  :goodbye:

Frank Finlay covered such a huge area of the profession, serious to silly.  And all with a total dedication to his art.  Sad.

December/January has been pretty grim and I ain't talking about the weather.  Lets hope it comes to an end as the month does.
