do you know of a decent n gauge shop 20 mile radius of manchester

Don't make a special journey, though. Not a great range, and not cheap.

One that I use for N, H0m and G is Arcadia in Shaw.

The Loco Shed on Bury Old road is good, they have an eclectic mix of stock, some bits you can't get any more from box movers.
Arcadia in Shaw is also a good shout.
Waltons of Altrincham is worth a look but not been here for a while.

Your best option will probably be Walton's in Altrincham.Large selection of Farish N.Plus a large selection of N bits and bobs.No Dapol though.
Owners are friendly and knowledgeable chaps.

I'll second (or third) Waltons in Altrincham for both range and decent prices :thumbsup:
