Title: Thread Signals
Post by: cudders on December 15, 2011, 01:46:46 PM
Hi,

Is there any way to set a particular folder as a stop signal permanantly? I'll never be intersted in such as 'World N Gauge' stuff but it and others show new posts. I like to keep it tidy  ;D

What I do is to click on the unread link and then open what I want to read in new tabs. Then I click on mark all items read. Nice and tidy.

Tank may correct me but I am not aware of a function that allows you to permanently mark a board as read (or uninterested).

I agree the forum can be a little daunting to search around everything but I also sympathize with the administration as many sections were requested by the membership, I think they have done a great job and first and foremost they have tried to please everyone.

Another point is many members model layouts from many parts of the world, for me personally I have about as much interest in British Railways as I do flying to Pluto.

May be a good idea to PM Chris and ask about your original question.

i have enabled the ability to "ignore" a board, you can go to your profile http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;area=ignoreboards (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;area=ignoreboards) and set which boards you wish to ignore, this will allow the board to not show new posts.
