Title: Interesting day at the model shop
Post by: MalcolmInN on December 29, 2015, 10:16:49 PM
Today I announced to my Managing Directoress that I was going to Ye Olde Local Model Shopee to collect my delayed Xmas present to myself :

"Oh " she said, "can I come too ? "
ohho !
,
,
in the shop she espied a green Duchess of Hamilton that she thought was very nice,
and over there a red one with three coaches and a signal box too !!
,
,
Now where are we going to place this new signal box I wonder , , ,
:bounce:

Curious :
the 5MT ( the other green one, 73014 ) came with a spare front bogie? / pony? but the Hamilton did not,
what's that all about I wonder.

Penny-pinching unfortunately...
(Especially when the one they do fit is the wrong wheelbase 'borrowed' from the Royal Scot/Jubilee... :( )

She's a good one - keep her :)  Maybe she ought to go with you more often.

yes a remarkable price difference between the pack and the single loco.
Do we know of any other differences between the two Hamiltons (apart from the colour,,  I should have asked this before she bought the pack :) ! )

Not yet,,, perhaps because I have not been invited ( or maybe because I have had the commons not to say "can I come too " ) LOL !

Actually I wrote up this little ditty because, it seems to me, that some of our female lady members sometimes get a little perturbed at the frequent (negative ?) SWMBOing that takes over from time to time.
So hence a view from the other side might help,
but so far they do not yet walk amongst us  :smiley-laughing: ;D :D :laugh3:
Looks over shoulder to judge how far to the nearest air raid shelter >>>

But it did cause some surprise and even hilarity in shop, not least with the prop(s). and several lady staff :)

PS seen Fatso's joke about the thieves spending less than his wife on the credit card ? larf !
