Hi guys some might think I have gone completely nuts or indeed I am away with the mixer please be assured I am not after talking with Mr Bachmann of this forum and another one we use we have hit upon a idea for drive movie using the kit as shown plus few secret parts to be become clear later

Something like this but instead of car the train pulls in and carriage side drop down with the set look at screen

Nice idea. Interested to see how you do it.  Could easily hook a Raspberry Pi up to a screen like that.

The monitor is only £11 and have laptop for running films but willing to learn if rp is better option

Hi are saying you RP for showing the films by using usb stick rather than dvd player via computer

A raspberry Pi is my answer to a lot of things. My though here is that it could be small enough (and cheap enough) that it could be attached to the layout allowing you to use your laptop for other things.

Movies on a memory stick I am certain will work. Not sure how you could automate it or the easiest way of setting up the software. (I don't do much graphical with them; all console, blinking lights and no screens or keyboards) but I would be surprised if someone in the vast community hasn't set something up. In fact given the price of the screen i would be ashamed if someone in the Raspberry Pi community has not already done something which can aid you.

Hi doing a little more looking on you tube the rp  is fine if I don't go above 720ps any dvd like blu ray will struggle with a better format bit more investigating to do me thinks then make a choice.mike
