Title: Display cases
Post by: davidinyork on December 11, 2015, 05:48:33 PM
Does anyone know of any supplier of display cases for a single N-gauge loco? There are quite a few suppliers of OO gauge ones, but I haven't been able to find any in N.

Thanks

Suppliers often attend local Toy fairs

True - there is often a stand at the Bolton Fair but that is probably too far for David to travel.
The next Toy & Train Fair is 29th December.

Hi,

I came across "trumpeter" display cases on Amazon ( while looking for 1:144 military vehicles 0. You should be able to find it by searching on Amazon for "Trumpeter display case".

Hope this helps.

Not knowing where you live makes it difficult. If you live in the South West there is a toy fair at the Bath and West Showground tommorow Sunday the 13th and there is a stand there selling display cases and he will make to your sizes.

I think David's name on the Forum may make that a tad easier than you think  ::)

Have a look at
www.sora-shop.com (http://www.sora-shop.com)
They are a German company and do display cases in all shapes and sizes in clear perspex type stuff.I bought one a few weeks ago for n gauge , (although it had 9 shelves) and can say that I am very impressed with it. . David.

Addit: Having just had a quick look at the site, they do a case 99cm long, which would allow an engine and a number of wagons/carriages. They also do bespoke cases.

And the advantage of clear perspex is that you can put a light above the top of the case and it will shine all the way through . I have a battery powered strip of LEDs that sit on top of the case - quite effective :). David.
