I've just heard from Susan Fagg. Peter is in John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with a nasty infection in his intestines. He has been there for a while, so I suspect he might like some visitors. If anyone in the area wants to visit, he is in ward 5d. I asked Susan to pass on our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery from me too.
I hope that Peter makes a full and complete recovery.
Looking forward to reading more of his common sense posts on here again.
I hope all go's well for Peter and of course that he makes a full recovery.
Agreed; get well soon, Peter.

I did ask Susan if Peter had a tablet or a laptop, but she said he was worried about leaving it about because he had nowhere secure to store it. I will be sending a card and include all your wishes.
Yes best wishes to Peter whom I have met the last 2 years at TINGS, hope he is back home soon. Also best wishes to Susan who must be going through a worrying time herself with Peter away from home.
Best wishes
Alan
All the best Peter, get well soon.

I was wondering why Peter had not been on the forum for a little while so enquired by email how he was. Didn't get a reply and now I know why. It's all already been said but my best wishes for a speedy recovery and yes the forum is an emptier place without his imput. Come back soon!
Dave
Any update on Peters progress?
No progress so far. I will give Susan a ring tonight and see if there is any further news. From what I gathered in our last conversation, they didn't know what was causing his problem and he was undergoing a battery of tests. More to follow.
I did send him a card and printed out all the comments up to about half way down page 3 of this thread. That was all there was at the time.
Well done Malc, hopefully it will cheer him up a little and hopefully keep him in a positive mood.
I've just spoken to Susan and there is no new news. He is still being pumped full of antibiotics and painkillers. According to Susan, they will discuss his case at a Multi Disciplinary team meeting probably on Monday. She is going to see him tomorrow and will pass on your get well wishes. She said she would give me a ring when there was some more news. She thanked everyone for their comments.
I have only just discovered this thread as I have not been on my pc much this week - get well soon Peter
Best wishes,
Alex
As with all the other comments, very sad to hear this. Peter is always such a cheery bloke and always has great comments to add, so I also hope he improves rapidly and is soon back on the forum.
Would it be a good idea to open a new thread when we have some good news, Malc?. Whilst no-one minds scrolling through the good wishes, perhaps a separate thread would assist us in welcoming him back.
Cheers, Bill.
Not a bad idea Bill, but i might just leave until Peter himself is back and can give us the full SP.
Any more news please,
Rob.
Only just seen this,
Like everyone else, wishing him a speedy recovery but hope no news is good news.
Get better friend.

Any more news please,
Rob.
No news yet, Rob. I'm reluctant to pester Susan at the moment. She did say she wold ring me if there was any news.
Fully understand Malc
Rob.
I'm sure you will let us all know of any news as soon as you can Malc but if you do contact him or his wife Please tell him I'm rooting for him and hope he gets well soon . I sure that goes for most of his Friends on the forum not just me.
Bob
My very best wishes for a speedy recovery Pete. We are all looking forward to more of your entertaining and interesting posts when you feel up to it.
Just had a call from Peter, he has been sent home temporarily. He is awaiting further tests, which he should have next week. He is clearly not well and is taking strong painkillers. He did say that if he is feeling better over the next few days, he would log on to the forum. I did pass on your best wishes and he is grateful to be in your thoughts.
Nothing worse than being in hospital and Peter I really feel for you but you have plenty of friends on the forum who wish you good health, I really hope the Doctors can get to the bottom of your illness and get you fighting fit so you can get back to your modelling, I am happy you are back home with your wife and sometimes that can be a good pick me up.
Malc thank you for the updates.
Dear friends,
My sincere thanks for all the lovely words and your wishes.
A special thanks to Malc for the thread.
The situation is this, I have tumors developing around my vital organs which are causing severe bowel complications.
I am going back into hospital next Tuesday for more rigorous examinations and possibly operations to either remove parts or merely clarify the situation which will determine my future.
I am unlikely to return to the forum before next Tuesday and only fate knows when or if I will return.
Again, my sincere thanks for everything.
Peter.

Peter..
I'm sure you know that we are all looking out for you and that we hope you have a good outcome, eventually, to your medical investigations. Take care my friend and we all look forward to you coming back on the forum fit and healthy.
:beers:
Hope the medical staff can get you "fully up and running" very soon so you'll be able to enjoy the festive season at home with your family.
Nigel
Get well soon Peter
Us here in Bristol wish you well!

All the best to you Peter. If the power of positive thinking has any effect - and I believe it does - then with all the good wishes on this forum, you should be back on here in no time at all.
Cheers, Bill.
See you back here soon, mate. :beers:
George
Jeez Peter, sorry to hear that. Stay strong, buddy! Looking forward to seeing you back again soon.
Hey mate,
Wow sorry to hear of the terrible news. Haven't been on the NGOs for a while too busy at work but I'm shocked to hear of the sad news.
Thinking of you mate, and hope for a speedy recovery
All the best bart
Here's hoping they get things sorted for you. Keep on top of them and keep positive.
The good news is that they have an idea of what's going on and are planning a way forward to improve things for you Peter, these are the positive aspects from what you have said.
From your own tag line you know positive influence of the collective, so with the power of your medics and all the positivity from the members on here, there just has to be a good outcome.
Best wishes
Friends,
An update that is not good news.
I had biopsies taken 2 weeks ago that have proved "Inconclusive".
Now I am developing Jaundice and may be re-admitted to the John Radcliffe hospital either later today or early tomorrow.
Please do not reply to this post as it might be weeks before I have a chance to reply, I do not possess either a tablet or a laptop.
Regards, Peter.
I know you said don't reply... but... I just wanted to say keep fighting and Get well soon...
Mark
Friends,
Thank you for all the thank you responses, very much appreciated.
Obviously I am at home! I have had a stent fitted in my bile duct which will hopefully hit the Jaundice on the head!
As for the rest of my ailments, I am likely to be readmitted sometime in January, either for an exploratory operation (lets hope they find oil!) or Chemotherapy!
My pain levels have increased but they will eventually stabilise with all the drugs I keep throwing down my gullet! (Current count 24/day!)
Anyway, I am home to share the gathering of the clan and I sincerely hope that everyone, no matter which god you follow, has time to share your own happiness.
Warmest regards, Peter.
Christmas at home!! What could be better?
Keep it up, Peter. Great to see that they have some idea where to go forward.
Merry Christmas to the Clan.
Steve

A very merry Christmas to you and your family Peter and I hope things get sorted out and you are back to 'normal', (whatever that is in your case!), in the new year. Good luck to you.. David.
That's slightly better than your previous post suggested anyhow. Home for Christmas didn't seem to be on the cards. Enjoy that and do so in the knowledge that everyone here is rooting for you in whatever follows... All the best to you and yours...
Great news, nothing like being home for Christmas and not stuck in some hospital, lets hope you get sorted very soon in 2015.
