Title: Will you help my son with his college survey?
Post by: Railwaygun on November 23, 2015, 03:18:40 PM
Could you please take my survey, I need to get lots of responses so I can write a report on it at the end of term. It will only take 5 minutes.

http://www.psytoolkit.org/cgi-bin/psy2.0.4/survey?s=JTgnK (http://www.psytoolkit.org/cgi-bin/psy2.0.4/survey?s=JTgnK)

Thanks in advance

Quite surprised that as many as 13% were born abroad, but we should still be helping Syrian refugees.  We should have helped the rebellion before the terrorists even started, but we lost our nerve.

Did it.

I guessed 10% were foreign born - total guess without looking it up. Turns out figure was 11.9% in the 2011 census, so not too far out.

I'd be interested to see what other people guessed.

5%, but I haven't lived in the UK since 1991. Bloody foreigners everywhere ( <- ironic joke alert, speaking as a serial immigrant myself).

The proportion is definitely going up.

But I'm one of those who doesn't really mind.

I hope they get some good results with the survey :)

I wrote 15%.  Why?  Well, my wife runs the Home Office database.  ;D

I originally guessed about 13-16% but then I remembered reading an article about peoples perception is generally always higher than the reality so like you I went for 10% also...

Having just spent the weekend in East London and visiting "Westfield" I reckoned on 75%...  :uneasy:

Actually put 10%, happy to help
