I spent many hours warming this type of bench in the 90s when I lived down south. Nostalgic.

Nothing to discuss.... posted by the boss, who happens to be a big fan of toothpaste...

Oops.... I might be out of a job here....  :uneasy:

Calling them "rubbish benches" might not be the best idea from a marketing point of view ;)

Seems quite apt to me  ::)

Actually, when I journeyed across the planet back then to bury me parents, I really didn't give much thought to 'em. They were just somewhere to plant my backside.

But after many years away from England, I must admit that I was basically just drinking in the British Railway scene again, and yes, Tank, was even impressed by the toothpaste tubes in 1990.

It's a period of British Railway history as valid as the Nationalisation of the late Forties and the Brunswick Green and maroon carriages of the Sixties (guess where I'm coming from).

So, those red benches are pretty cool models in my eyes!

I know they were better than sitting on the platform.... you guys gotta visit some Aussie stations!  ;) ;D

I have bought a pack of the benches.   They arrived today and I am so pleased that I have just ordered two more.

The photo doesn't do them justice.   The actual bench legs are much thinner and really look the part.

When suitably painted they will look very good on Neely's platforms.

Hi all,

Just wanted to add a photo of one of the unpainted benches as the one Chris had was of the pre production run, and I have made a  little change to the master.

The legs are 0.4mm in thickness and when the benches are fully cured they can be brittle due to the nature of the resin, so please handle with care and paint them as soon as possible to stop any further curing.

Watch this space as Chris and I are planning more 90's items, and thanks for all your support.
