Title: 2015-16 Directory of N Gauge Locomotives
Post by: Newportnobby on September 24, 2015, 12:55:26 PM
By way of an apology for the latest issue of N Gauge Now! being late, I have today received a free copy of their directory (as per the Thread Title) - usual price £4.95.
A quick glance through and it seems a fair stab at providing lists of current stuff available and anyone spotting errors/omissions is invited to send corrections.
Farish, Dapol and Union Mills feature as manufacturers of RTR, whilst kits are also featured.
DJ Models class 17 is shown as being available 2016 but not his class 23 ???
Have others received this and what do they make of it?

Got mine this morning as well together with the small erratum note. Was told at TINGS that it was a bit of a rush job but looks OK to me. Spotted one mistake on Page 5. Apparently the price of a "Hall" from Dapol is £12.95 ( :claphappy: I'll have a dozen at that price) whilst the DCC version  is £140.95

Seriously I think I will find this quite useful as I do not know that much about which class ran where and when and there is some indicative information in the text together with the type of work they did.

Seems a reasonable apology for the delays we have suffered this year. Lets hope all their production problems are in the past and that the article authors enjoy better health - if IRC there was supposed to be an edition of N Gauge Now available for TINGS. This did not appear because the main contributor was taken into hospital.

I'm guessing it's more the fact N-Train doesn't get a mention in the directory that's bothering Bob? ;)

Oh that was lining up nicely to read "Here in the Antipodes we've just received a shipment from the last boat that left Poole."  :smiley-laughing:

Sorry George, couldn't resist!  :beers:

I spotted the following errors and emailed them, but given their almost legendary problems with email it's probably worth reproducing the list here. I know that at least one member of the team is on the NGF:

Nobody from them e-mailed me to ask, so I guess they got their info from on line or other magazines. They could have had pics too if they'd asked.

Well, again if they're reading here they'll know now. Perhaps next year's edition can be even better than this year's one.
