Just got a set off ebay and I'm chuffed to bits with it.
I like the directional lights but as I'm looking at it I'm thinking it would look even better with interior lights too.
I've just got the Brighton Belle set which does have the coach lighting so I suppose I'm getting a bit too demanding now !
If you've fitted lights please say what you did.
I'm afraid I've only got DC so difficulties straight away as the coaches are not wired together like the Brighton Belle.
Anyway, please tell.
If anyone has it may be Caz
She loves to fit such things
It's just a shame her expertise

On a more serious note I think if you just want carriage lighting as opposed to table lamps being lit, these guys do light bars.............

Thanks Mick, yes you are right, I have fitted coach lighting to the Blue Pullman and populated with the little people but as mine is DCC it is slightly easier.
On my BP I have a sound decoder in both power cars and have use an additional function output to power the coach lighting but I don´t see why you couldn´t pick up the directional lighting feed somewhere and use that, maybe with some steering diodes, it would mean the coach lighting is on when the directional lighting is on.
I wired my lights is by running a couple of fines wires from the rear of a power car to the next coach and then on to the third coach so you have a hard wired set of a power car and two coaches. Did this with the other end so I did have too long a string of hard wired coaches. My light bars are the home made version using the cheap LED strips (6 LEDs per coach stuck to the roof) which work fine on DCC but possibly need a some little electronic wizardary to make them work better on DC.
For DC I suppose you could always buy the Dapol light bars as they have some of the additional electrics to make them run better on DC.
Hope this helps.
