Title: Spares from scrap loco's
Post by: camelback on September 06, 2015, 09:35:35 PM
How often do you but a broken old loco to one side because you can't get spares for it. Maybe its damaged beyond repair but some parts are serviceable would you be prepared to give or sell these parts to other members of this forum. If so we could mention what parts we needed  and maybe help each other out.
Peters spares are great but it's the odd and old parts we usually need.
James.

I for one, think this is a good idea James.

I have a Dapol Class 66 with bogies that were butchered, turning the loco from a runner to a dummy.  I have had one member offering some help already, and I am waiting until after the N Gauge Show this weekend, to see if I can afford the bogies he is offering me.

I love to have kato spares  on this forum and other makers we could either buy or trade for parts required some of us are sitting on a mounting of odd ball parts that might give a life to another loco.mike
