I have just ordered a Dapol O gauge Terrier. In my defence I can say that they are my favourite loco and that I have a large litter of them in N and OO.
The O gauge example will go on display as I won't have the space or money to build a layout.
It's just such a beautiful model I couldn't resist it.

OK, who wants to start the exorcism & excommunication ?
That's cool.
My favourite North American locomotive is the SD40-2. I now have a G scale and an HO version as well as 4 N scale Kato examples with 3 more Intermountains on order. Lionel makes an O gauge version and that's next.
I had a Dapol N gauge Terrier, but it was not capable of getting around my mainline loop without stalling so it had to go. Too bad!

Ive had 2 of the N gauge terrier beauties for several years now and did hope to have them chipped (professionally) shortly. Unfortunately I told that they cant be done so they will have to reside in my loco museum once its constructed :'(
You should use the Oscar Wilde quote as your tag line....
"I can resist everything except temptation"

Now come on guys. We can't excommunicate Ronnie. So she has a weakness for a particular kettle. At least she also has a N gauge model (and very nice it is to).
Mind you, O gauge is quite big, evan for such a little 0-6-0 !

I'm likely going to do the same thing. It looks a lovely model, and amazingly well priced for what it is.

I know the feeling! Built a few O Gauge kits from Parkside Dundas, and they're an absolute treat to do. My aim is to build a garden railway of some sort, a simple loop around a rockery or something along those lines. At least, that's my justification for buying the O Gauge stuff!
Cheers, NeMo
I can understand your problem as I have models in O, On30, OO , N and T gauges and I think there is some Z around somewhere. :laugh3:
Please don't send me to Quarantine :)

Quarantine's too good for ya !!! :P
You're just jealous because we are versatile :nerner: :nerner:
Oh, is that what you call it !
And there was me thinking you had to go to Super Braille-Scale for other reasons :P :P :P
(must remember to delete those posts I've made referring to my OO collection !!! :hmmm:)

don't you mean ......
CAN'T MAKE YOUR MIND UP :smiley-laughing:
Then you will walk past a model shop and some 0 gauge track will just happen to follow you home ... ... ... How about that garden railway you have always dreamed of?
This is all getting a bit worrisome.
I have a thing for the class 33 diesel, in blue and yellow with those nice easy to understand TOPS numbers. I'm waiting (and waiting, and still waiting) for a couple of Dapol models in N but I do know that there is a nice Scandinavian company that has an O gauge version and an OO one as well.
Is this "versatility" thing catching ? Can I go and have a beverage or two until the feelings subside or should I get somebody to lock away my plastic cards instead.
And anyway, is the O gauge model any good ?

don't know if that other hOrrible scale model is any good, but I do find that a few beverages usually protect my plastic cards, as I then can't remember the number I have to input to buy something :smiley-laughing:
so, try Scottish water, and I am sure you will soon be returned to sanity.
:NGaugersRule:
well.. a v small one point shunting layout...
could fit in about 6 ft...
I know someone who has done Langstone bridge complete with Terriers in N. I wonder how long it would be in O. You'd need an aircraft hangar for that 😄
May I remind those objecting to other gauges RULE 1.

Really? Rule one applies across gauges too?
Nah, surely not... Gonna go lie down.....
I must confess to a similar regard for the J69 and would love one in GER blue but , fortunately for my wallet, no-one makes them except in kit form and I can resist that in other scales.
My guilty secret is my O gauge Western, with 5 mkIs and a full brake. I don't currently have room to display it, let alone lay the track i bought. Mrs MM is resisting the suggestion of a garden railway...
