Title: Cropped Circles
Post by: MalcolmInN on July 29, 2015, 11:34:06 PM
Pengi said "This is a topic that always generates great debate and I think we are in danger of going round in circles"

and I was about to say
"roundy circles, good, back on topic (chuckle) if it is good enough for the honorable much lamented Carl Arendt and his Pizzas, good enuf for me,
nice one Pengi, made me smile,
and as I type I have a train going round an R2 circle on the left and my new tablet playing SteeleyeSpan into my HiFi over on the right,
friendly chat on fav.forum, all very relaxing

and now look what happened !
great debate,
was any harm being done ?

I didnt see any flame war ??

Talking of roundy roundy, that reminds me I had a dream last night (it's early morning here) that I had to design an 'Orribly Oversized layout for someone, which became a twisty end-to-end affair except with a raised branch line loop in the middle to serve a nuclear power station.

Should I be taking less or more medicine?

That reminds me, must take my meds in a min :)
Also reminds me of a SciFi short (Azimov maybe ?) in which the New York Metro had become so convluted in the 20umteenth century that it spawned a Moibus loop thro' a 4th dimension and a train got lost in it, never to re-emerge, but could be heard rattling through tunnels close by but never within observation.

Did you hear the one about when the new Hinckley nuclear power station comes on line and blows up it'll solve the problems over the badger cull in Somerset and Glos.

I assumed it was about those circles in fields of crops made by alien spacecraft when they visit us at night when we're all sleeping ?

Best regards,

Joe

Yes, and/or no, as the case may be. I'll ask the nurse/warder next time he/she/it looks through the bars and report back. Best I can do for now, till I get - these - straps - loosened.....

Oh, I have no problems with my movements, the prune diet you know. But, if you want to raise me, a stair lift might be more appropriate you know. A compass, nah, I do all my drawing on the confuser these days and they don't allow pointed items in here. I think they are worried about damage to the nice padded wallpaper.

Too late, too late!  I just remembered, I don't have stairs!  LOL

And, both types of compasses have points you know, thereby lies the confyustication.  And, please don't lode me down with stones!

Oh, ye can't beat a good pun can ye.  (and a bad one is even better!)

Yer telepathic, neither do I, unless you count a pull down laddery thing (to what may be the BIG railway room one of these days, nod to the porpoise of this forum ;) )

Ok then,
try this,
going north it is a complex problem in time, especially if your name is Stephen, , ,

I have a lady friend who says that if you get to the actual pole and spin fast enough in the right direction you can go back in time.

Leave the poor Pole alone! He'll get dizzy. Anyway you lot are permanently stuck in my past by the looks of things, no matter how much you try rotating northern Slavs.

Ye don't say! - Oh, wait, ye DO say!  I'll have to think about this...  thinks: if I'm west of him, and he's west of me... Wait a minute... oh, look - it's bed time!  S'long y'all.....

You should be able to read that last bit if you select it with your mouse, but wait - do you REALLY want to?
