Photo's look great - something a bit different!
Thanks!
Cheers Jon :)
Interesting , look forward to seeing how it progresses.
For the third and forth rails use Peco Z gauge track and solder to brass pins.
Steve
For the conductor rails I will be using code 40thou as a Friend of mine is building a Southern layout with third rail and experiments have already taken place with great success watch this space !!
I'm just gobsmacked you've taken the time to string the telegraph wires

Heartily agree! This is inspirational. The Metropolitan Railway Bo-Bo is one of my favourite locos. There's a kit kicking about, Radley Models (http://www.radleymodels.com/2mm-to-3mm--.html) I think, and one of these days I'm going to attempt it. In the meantime... very envious!

What is the tube stock you have?
I have N Train's 1959 tube stock kits from Shapeways, and a grand plan to build Piccadilly Circus tube station (circa 1975) some day. I have a whole lot of PVC tubing ready, and some code 40 rail for the power rails... one day.
I also have the little LT pannier, for no reason other than itself.
It's great to see your photos. It's a great project.
I keep toying with the idea of a layout using tube stock. The bodies look acceptable but the chassis I've looked at are too high. What are you using?
The chassis I use are tomytec they fit very well and low into the body Must admit would like to make them lower [smg id=27107 type=preview align=center caption="DSCF4714"]
Bob at N-Train does a set of 1959 stock which use my vinyls to give a nice flush-glazed effect. They can also be used for similar 1938 stock with a little sanding of the cab roof dome.
Isle of Wight anyone?

I have also been playing..................
Isle of Wight? Why not!
PolarStar, brilliant stuff. You have an NGF following already!
There's some very nice 95 (Northern Line) stock available on Shapeways as well as Bob's 59 stock.
Cheers, Mike
I think the 95 tube stock is designed around the Kato Centram mechanism. Taking apart one of these very nice trams is not for the faint hearted and there are modifications required to the motor bogies, but they are small and would give a very good height of travel.
I have been considering looking into this when funding allows.
Hi Bob
The 95 stock is based on the Portram (which gives you two self-contained motor bogies) and is not too difficult to take to pieces. Is the Centram the same design?
Cheers, Mike
Got confused on my Trams, but they do look very similar...................
They're pretty much identical, basically same model branded for different companies (like the prototype).
Parkwood make the Met. electric loco kit, a body for a Battery loco and the 30 ton GP flat wagon.
