.............a prepaid thingy please so I can send all these trophies back cheers.

I don't think you'll get a prepaid thingy. It cost me an arm and a leg to post them back last year!

Hi

Afraid so, however, I did have the option to hand them back on the day.

From memory it cost me around £5 to return the one I won in 2009.

Cheers

Paul

Going to the Ely show on Saturday but not to the AGM unfortunately.

Shame - probably my only chance on ever getting my hands on an NGS trophy  :(

Hang on, isn't El Presidente Ando going to the AGM??? You could always give them to him.

Regards

Neal.

I took the Graham Farish trophy (trophies? There were two!) back to Westbury last year as postage wasn't an option. The little one with the 08 in it would have been fine, but the off-cut of rail with the huge wooden plinth was a non-starter! Luckily I combined it with introducing my lad to Somerset quarries and Diesel hydraulics at the WSR mixed traction weekend. Not sure I saved much in the end though!

I hasten to add that I was offered the choice of not taking the door stop, but PostModN66 had put me up to the task the year before by showing me the beast of a trophy. I wasn't going to leave it behind once I'd won it!

When I won the Graham Farish trophy and was presented with that monster I vowed never to enter a layout again!

Gawd! I'd better stick to my usual mediocre standard of modelling, then! Postage to Aus and back would be prohibitive!  ;)

As the best model railway mag of all time used to promote:

"For the average modeller"

Count yourselves lucky gentlemen, I have only won three bronze certificates so far, had I won even one of these, I would have been happy to return it in person.

Alex

Hello Paul

I'll send you my address offlist.

Sorry to disappoint but the Society doesn't pay for return postage. I'll ensure that this is added to the rules.

Best regards
