Title: "Timeframe" help
Post by: 1936ace on March 16, 2015, 03:37:51 AM
Hi all
I run br blue roughly 67 to 76 ish with a bit of modellers licence. I have a br blue 31 on preorder and just saw the review of the 31 in BRM which was in green with FYP. It looked awesome!
My question is did it run into the 70's in green that I can justify getting it?
And also just read the new class 40 will be dcc ready and I like the green model with SYP but would it have been repainted by 1967
Thanks in advance everyone
Cheers Bart

Quick butchers at the interweb yielded this...

http://www.railblue.com/rail_blue_history_2.htm (http://www.railblue.com/rail_blue_history_2.htm)

I didn't read it right through but I think you might be in luck

For that kind of detail, RMweb is an excellent place to go:

(I hang out there mainly for the photos of 1:1 models and contributions from people who work with real trains).

 :veryangry:
Doesn't matter now as I must of selected send as soon as item is in stock on my preorder and have just received email to say my item has been packed for shipping
Oh well at least I did not have to pay the £100 plus current price tag
Thanks guys for all of the responses
