Post by: Westbury on March 12, 2015, 01:08:06 PM

What's the best mini vacuum currently out there for model railway cleanup, scatter , ballast removal etc  ?

Easy to get at bag to collect scatter etc for re use would be a bonus !

Over to you guys....

I've got this one:

It even has a N-gauge track-cleaning brush... alas, it's not on their UK site..   :(

Oh yes it is  ;)

The trick when looking on conrad sites in other countries is to search for the item no. (093363 - 89 in this case).

You can see the one I bought from eBay here...

Works well for only £6.

Hope this helps.

Sadly my purchases of the rechargeable sort such as Black & Decker and Beldray have been extremely disappointing. However, in one of those free catalogues that litter the inside of weekend supplements there is a mains operated vacuum cleaner no bigger than the rechargeable ones for £20. It looks OK but there are no details about guarantee etc so I'm still undecided :-\
