Title: BR Black Loco Lining
Post by: Dalteth on March 02, 2015, 01:05:00 PM
Hi guys,

I'm completing my Scratchbuild of a BR L1 loco see here:

http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=23132.30 (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=23132.30)

And Ive now reached the stage where transfers are required.

I've looked through fox transfers website and I'm struggling to work out which lining set I need.

I 'think' it might be set FRH2075 but not sure!

Anyone with any experience of these?

Or alternative sources of the same!

Thanks,

Iain

Hi,

Yes that is the correct product. I've used this lining extensively and whilst fiddly it always produces an excellent result.

Alan

Modelmaster do an alternative which is slightly finer although possibly even fiddlier. They do red/white lining and the separate black lining to go on top. This takes twice as long but gives finer lining if you have patience and a steady hand!

Here is ex-GWR 1470 that I lined out using this.

That's very nicely executed.
