I enjoyed watching that, thank you for posting the link
cheers John.
Yes - I enjoyed watching it too. I was 22 years old in 1964 and lusted for one of the Mk1 Ford Capris (based on the Ford Classic) shown in the video. I wasn't aware that British Rail cut up a lot of their old rolling stock and recycled it at the Steel Works.
NO NO NO !!!!!!
1 Minute and 20 seconds into this I could not watch any more. I was part of the Great Western Society (Didcot) who spent years restoring carriages and also knew the guys from other groups like the Severn Valley Railway. To see burning coaches is a big ouch. What next ? Bring on the videos of the torching of the Blue Pullmans.....
Mrs "H" is now administrating medication as I type......

Enjoyed it. Thanks.
1964 was a splendid year. It was the year when Trainfish landed on earth
"They bring nearer the day when passengers will have nothing at all to complain about" ;D
Thanks for posting, some lovely clips there and especially nice to see it in broadcast quality, colour footage.
Glad everyone enjoyed it.
