Title: Engee Publcations
Post by: georgehgv on February 14, 2015, 08:25:03 PM
Has anyone yet received their copy of N Gauge Modelling supposedly published and sent out Feb 2015?

Not the one off edition released during 2014, the first of the promised four to be printed in 2015. I subscribed but not yet received and wondered if anyone else had done the same.

Nothing received yet, George, but there's still half of the month to go.

Thanks Mick, just getting a little concerned as I don't like being let down.

Hi,

The confirmation email I received does state that the next issue will be out at the end of February. So a little while to go yet. I've not had any problems with purchasing and receiving the first issue.

Indeed, I received the first issue but as I had not received a reply to either email enquiring a release date I sent the same email directly to the personal email address shown and not received a reply to that either.

How long would you wait for some sort of response before contacting the Card payment company?

Hi,

I notice all the confirmation emails come from a 'no reply' address, not helpful. There is a web site which shows a phone number for Howards Foy of 07940 802336 and an email of howardefoy@yahoo.co.uk Worth a try?

I don't expect it to arrive until the first week of March. They did say 'end of February' after all. Don't panic just yet.

I had an email from them the other day, stating that issue 2's publication date is on or around the 12th March. It is then planned to be 3 monthly intervals from then onwards, quoting publication dates around the end of May, August & November.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Neal.

Ive had an apologetic email from him within the last hour and it seems there was a mix up with information in his previous email and all is now sorted out and dispatch will be at end of month

Putting out the urgent fires perhaps ?

It's not as if he's late (yet) on delivery, is it ?

Because he either hasn't received your email (it happens) or he only has a finite amount of time?

Surely the thing that matters is that you know what the situation is now ie that the next issue is due at some point from the end of this month to mid-March.

Cheers, Mike

Thanks for all that but it is only hearsay not facts from the horses mouth.

I've received an e mail from Howard Foy to say my copy has been despatched

Great result !

A phone call from Howard explained that Issue 1 after the launch issue of 2014 was published last November, the subscription issues for 2015 of which there are to be four will be despatched early March after a GF announcement he is awaiting.

I presume those promised an issue in the post are to receive Issue 1 having missed the November release.

Howard has generously said he will send me a copy and that the remainder of the subscription issues are to follow.

All explained and now understood, thank you Howard.

Not sure about that, George, as the 'cheap' subscription was for the 4 issues due this year and nothing else :hmmm:
When it drops through the post I'll let you know.

Hi George - the one I bought at the Stafford Show at the end of January is titled - Issue 1 2014 as opposed to the very first issue I bought ages ago :confused2:

Blimey, I'm wondering when the lynch mob will be organised. These lads are setting up a brand new, N Gauge-only, regular magazine for a British market. Give them some slack while they get it all organised and running, will ya? Surely they're allowed to be a week or so late with a deadline for what is only Issue 2? Not that they are at all late.

I quite agree. We know the score now so lets just be thankful he is doing something for us.

Nothing here yet.

I enjoyed the premier edition, so this latest one should be worth the wait.

An update on the web site would help.

Impatiently waiting for another GOOD read.

Not when you compare it with The Dapol/Graham Farish pre order waits which seem to run into years
