I have been given a Langley white metal kit to convert a Farish railcar chassis into a GWR Express Parcels loco. I shall want to DCC convert it, but am aware that the white metal body is electrically conductive. Does anyone know if there is a shorting risk, in which case should I be seeking out vinyl stick on sides, which I once saw at the Wigan Show a few years back (anyone know where these are sold?) as an alternative to the metal body?
Seasonal regards to all.
Electra Graphics has these sides listed.

Electra Graphics have a problem with these sides I am waiting for some replacements As the ones I got at TINGS were too small but as posted here somewhere Adam had a bit of bad luck and had to find a new job so I think that is why he is a bit behind .

Thanks guys, I'll see if I can research into that area.
Thanks Only Me (or if I am typing, should I use Only You?). I have heard of Kapton tape, but have not seen the spelling before. I thought people were saying 'Captain'. I shall be buying some. Is the third photo the inside of a metal body?
Thanks again.
Thanks, sorry to appear dim.....
Hi ,
I would use the farish body myself - the Langley cast body I have is quite heavy mine went on a lifelike GP40 chassis and at a distance looks ok but farish body better , current chassis is as seen a split frame . However it looks like Bach far are doing a new chassis version- open to confirmation on that and if its based on the 101/108 /150 version it will have a plug from the get go...
I have used the electra graphics sides on railcar to make parcel version albeit the very old transfer and ok for size , hope fully Adam will be able to supply all you need shortly, his suppliers were on festive shutdown -so hopefully back to normal next week..

Many thanks for the comments and advice. Happy New Year.
