I'd snap one up at the right price, too.
Wish I'd got it when they first came out :'(

They do look nice but I'll stick with my solitary green one.

Are the 250 in transit for general sale or for a dealer Special order ( ISTR that Osborns Models sold the last batch as a special?)

The first batch of D1000s had Desert sand with small yellow warning panels (post-1962 version). I know Maurice was considering a run in plain sand (the original version) but I do not know if this is what is actually coming.

At £200 I'd be having a bash painting one myself!

Prompt reply from Osborns:

Hi Nicholas,

We have an agreement with Dapol that they will produce some more D1000's in desert sand livery but these will be a weathered version. Unfortunately we have not confirmed date yet for these.

I am open to offers on it. I saw one sell for not much over that recently, hence putting that price on it with ONO. PM me if you want to see if we can get a price agreed for it

But if osbournes have said that no date is planned then I wouldn't expect it to be in there.

Also as there has been no mention on advertising or asking for pre-orders for it. The previous one was on the Website for a few months before it arrived.

I'd be up for a weathered version, especially if it looks as good as the blue one :heart2:
