Title: What happened to Citadel Washes?
Post by: REGP on December 07, 2014, 08:39:55 PM
There was an interesting item under Modelling Tips in the latest N Gauge Journal regarding weathering with washes.

It mentioned amongst other washes Citadel Badab Black & Devlan Mud.

Unfortunately after Googling these washes they appear to no longer be available or maybe now sold under another name. I'm not sure which as the sites I was able to view left me rather confused on the subject. :confused2:

Does anyone know wether they are still available and where.

Citadel paints are no longer available, as far as I am aware, they were made under liscence for Games Workshop and they now have a new supplier so a new range of paints and names!

The new paints are superb although confusing for those of us who know and have used the old ones, the washes are now called shades I think.

Best wishes
Simon

Thanks for clarifying the situation Simon.

I'll try their Nuln Oil and maybe the earthshade

Yup, I think that "Nuln Oil" is the replacement for Devlan Mud although Agrax Earthshade might also be good for slightly paler occasions.

Full range of shades available here.
