Title: Esso road tanker
Post by: Rob H on October 21, 2011, 04:39:11 PM
Hi all, I've just ordered a Faller Esso petrol station. To go with it I would like an Esso road tanker but can't find one in N scale - any ideas ?

Hello,I've got a Herpa 1/160 scale Scania artic which I bought at TINGS.It has a blue metallic tractor unit and a chrome coloured tanker trailer.
I will be keeping the tractor unit as it is but I will be attempting to perhaps remove the chrome or just sanding the surface down to be able to take paint and painting into either a Shell or Esso livery.
The tractor unit can stay as it is because the paint on it is very well applied and as my layout is late seventies, early eighties it could be an owner/driver operation like so many hauliers of the time.
One exception to this is that as it is a late model Scania,it is vastly out of era for me,but I will overlook that minor detail.
