Friends,
As the years progress I find myself more and more infuriated by songs in my head that just WILL NOT GO AWAY!
Recently, every time a thought entered or got bashed around by the grey cells a song barged it's way to the fore and forced me either to whistle the tune or hum it or (God forbid) sang it!
Anyway, you can gather from the title that this last week I have been driven up the wall by the song!!!
Some of the words I can remember but there was just one line that baffled me.
I looked on the 'net for answers and found a website which displayed the lyrics.
It doesn't help much because what the *****! does the line "revved up like a deuce," mean?
The site and the lyrics are here:- http://www.metrolyrics.com/blinded-by-the-light-lyrics-manfred-mann.html (http://www.metrolyrics.com/blinded-by-the-light-lyrics-manfred-mann.html)
Peter.
A deuce is an American 2 ton truck as far as I am aware..

Indeed, it specifically refers to a 1932 Ford Coupe (deuce from the 2 apparently)
