Title: Crazy weather Downunder
Post by: Bealman on October 16, 2014, 04:41:49 AM
I know we're upside down here but the weather doesn't have to be!

Had dinner on a Sydney Harbour cruise on Saturday night - lovely balmy warm night. Up on deck taking in the sights of the bridge and opera house....

Then, following Tuesday afternoon, temperature plunged, and didn't it rain. Here's the view from my local bowing club.... they're greens, not swimming pools!

Of course, it was raining too hard to go home, so another couple of jars were in order  :pint:
Here's Blackheath station in the Blue Mountains an hour later....

Yep, that's snow. At a place that's an hour or so's drive from my place and this time last year was the location of horrendous bushfires!!

Today, sunshine and warmth. Upsidedown weather indeed.  ;D

Obviously took some British weather back with you on your last trip over ;)

Paul

PS: How typically Australian is that sign at the bowling club? ;D

Paul, the club is actually The Wollongong Returned Servicemen's League Bowling Club, and the change of name rattled quite a few locals' feathers, I can assure you.

Yep that sounds good, going down to the aggy bowlo to play with my woods, no doubt there was uproar with a he change of name, so did the name change bring more people in?

Not really. The CEO responsible spent most of the clubs money then disappeared!
