Hi,
just wanted to mention the custom transfers made for me by Cambrian Driver Dave, aka Dave Herbert.
I was not relishing renumbering a number of locos, especially on locos in BR blue small logo scheme, and having to piece together single or pairs of numbers, trying to get them in a straight line etc, especially with hands and eyes that are not as young as they used to be.
I happened to mention this to Dave, who offered to make me up sets as required.
I sat down and made up a list of those I needed, and ones that I planned on needing in the future, noted whether they were for large or small logo schemes, and sent it off.
A few quid and a couple of weeks later they arrived today, and they are superb, just what I needed.
So if you are looking for custom numbers, or any other transfers, give Dave a PM and see if he can help.
cheers
Alan
Good to know Dave can do the decals
Having discovered a photo of a St. Blazey D numbered BR Blue Class 08, D4009, with the correct, later, font (as used for numbers without the D prefix, before the TOPS renumbering) and a BR double arrow under the number (on the cabside) I need two sets of D4009, ideally with the BR Double arrow underneath as a single transfer. My Class 08 comes back, I hope, from Wickness, before Christmas ready for renumbering. (I also have to remove the existing BR double arrows on the side.) I'd definitely like to buy a set of transfers from Dave and any tips on renumbering Class 08s, please.

Many thanks. I've never renumbered a railway model but need to learn; after locos. I will need to move on to carriages.
