The Rain has cleared, Wife in town doing what wives do best..emptying the currant account, while i have discovered tools that haven't seen the light for years. So i am cleaning up points and will be laying track shortly. I have to say that there is so much information on the forum plus genuinely decent people contributing. The first chap to say 'Hi' was an Aussie! Thank you. I am amazed how quick we can communicate and where from these days. Well moving on a bit i have fallen into the usual trap and came very close to putting to much track down and not paying attention to the best attribute of n gauge that is creating a scene where one can feel space. Happily the revelation hit before rail clippers and glue had been applied...and it's back to a country ternimus and a couple of sidings.

Yes most of us come from a place halfway between Stratford (London) and Dagenham. To wit Barking.
The rest originate from Knutsford.
