Hi Gang,
Spotted a post on RMWeb stating that Mike from C&M Models in Carlisle has commissioned a Saltire 156 to follow on from his previous commissions of Class 86s and ScotRail Mk3s.......
Here's the link.....

Later,
Stu in OAKN.
Wonder whether this will have the up to date livery? (the difference is the operator branding on the doors - First has now been replaced by Abellio).
There was a livery sample in the shop when I was there back in April, it was very 156-y

No, it will not be Abellio.
It is modelled on a specific 156 which is First ScotRail in Saltire early livery.
Fair enough, but seems a bit of a missed opportunity as there tends to be more demand for current liveries than recent-past ones.
The exact same specific 156 will still be around carrying the same livery, just with different branding on its doors.
That's the problem with lead times, however it does cover a livery version applicable to ScotRail not currently covered unless using Vinyls
Correcting the train operator signs should be very easy, contact Railtec Models
I am quite sure if there is enough demand a complete set can be added to their stock list
There was a similar delay with their Dapol ScotRail Mark 3A coaches
However, at least it too was only a few months, unlike the Farish 47/7 (about 18 months) and their DBSO (at least 2 years now)
Sadly the Dapol Mark 3 TGS has joined this list...
Hello all,
I suspect that if they suddenly decided to produce the Abellio variant there would be considerable disquiet among those who had already ordered, and quite possibly some cancellations!
Not least because (as has been pointed out) franchise changed hands long after the model was announced.
cheers
Ben A.

Hardly a missed opportunity if the model has been in development for a year or more. Abellio only took over a month ago.
I think you are completely out of order to suggest this was a missed opportunity.
As MJK has said get an overlay for the insignificant change on the doors.
Have to say I find it rather offensive to be told that I am 'completely out of order'. So you don't agree with me - that's fine and it doesn't make either of us right or wrong. There's really no need to take the tone you have.
