Good morning.Away from N Gauge one of my hobbies for many years has been PC based flight simulation using Microsoft Flight Simulator.
It is a fascinating hobby and just like N Gauge you never stop learning!
A big part of the flight simulation community are Virtual Airlines which through a combination of various elements (website, timetables, specially painted aircraft) recreate the operations of a real world airline within Flight Simulator. There are even full Air Traffic Control services available online managed by a dedicated team of enthusiasts!
Over the last fifteen years I have been involved with Virtual Airlines both as a pilot and the "boss". Well a few month ago a friend and I got the itch to start our own Virtual Airline again. So after lots of planning and a little heartache (which happens when your web developer deletes a big part of the website in a child-like tantrum)..we are ready to recruit some virtual pilots to join us on our journey!
Now Flight Simulation might appear to be a bit complex in the beginning...but once you have the basics it is immensely rewarding.
