Title: Derigistering Windows 8.1
Post by: Crackerbill on September 14, 2014, 03:52:23 PM
Calling all experts,

I have a laptop which I had upgraded to Windows 8.1.  Currently I am having lots of trouble with this machine and therefore wish to deregister the windows software from it, so that I can use it to upgrade another computer.

My question is how do I do this?  There seems to be little or no information on this topic from Microsoft - their website is all gobble-de-gook to me.

Thanks in anticipation from a super silver surfer.

Well now Bob doesn't that sound simple - oh why can't Microsoft just add this little tit-bit to their info.

Thanks Bob I will give it a go and hopefully will be running the all singing  all dancing Windows 8.1 again soon.  Of course if I run into difficulties then it will be back to thedrawing board.

If you have to do phone activation the most of the time its an automated system, that reads a code back to you to type in, have a pen and paper handy.
