Interesting opening window conversion on the first one - not seen that before!

Think these go for around the £5k-£10k mark depending on condition.

I'd like to see the NVR take a few of these to replace them silly foreign coaches they run currently.

Mark 2 coaches are not great beasts for preservation work - especially the air con ones. Most locos can't drive the aircon (ETH isn't found on your average pannier tank) so they are basically mobile ovens. In addition mechanically they are a monocoque construction rather than a separate chassis which makes maintaining and repairing them lots more fun.

Modern comforts aside - it would make for a heck-of-a-train-room!!!
