Title: storage boxes / tool boxes
Post by: bluedepot on July 19, 2014, 09:33:43 PM
can anyone suggest some stackable storage boxes / tool boxes?  preferably ones with organising compartments within them.

these are for small and medium sized tools, spare parts, scenic items, electrical bits and pieces, maybe glues / paints too... etc. etc.

I have 'stuff' everywhere at the minute and want to try and tidy it up a bit...  my lounge / kitchen / mantle piece and bedroom have stuff all over them...

cheers,

tim

I remember B&Q had a combined tray and tool box with wheels for around £20 recently which might go someway to what you want.

Last week I spent a tender in Aldi on 4 boxes that came as a set. They're quite useful and one is double depth which I've found handy.

I use the "really useful boxes" from Hobbycraft, there are other sellers too.
Good strong boxes, well fitted lids and a variety of sizes and they stack very well. They are a bit pricey for storage boxes though.
Hope that helps.

I'd echo what Scruff said. Great boxes

Endorse the Really Useful range for storage.

I have several of the multiple drawer units, similar to these:

I store all my locos and rolling stock in their original boxes (sad maybe  ;) ). What I like about the drawer option is they are tough, you can arrange your kit and see what's in each drawer.
