We get similar issues over here. Sure, only one Railway Network here - that managed by Kiwirail, but more than once we have had issues come up, example Fire service asking for a railway line to be closed at Manakau due to a track side fire, and then getting the Suburban Operator irate when trains are stopped at Manukau - which is in Auckland. Manakau is between Otaki and Levin at the other end of the North Island. That has happened more than once...

And that's why we dig under the rail to run the hose. Never lost one yet in 25yrs

Had an aircraft grounded in Nants, France.  Needed urgent spare.  Light aircraft chartered to deliver spare from UK supplier...all done on phone.
Light aircraft with spare arrived Nance France - oooopps.
