Hi all, I have a chance to buy this set which is described as DCC friendly.
Can anyone tell me how many decoders are needed and if the decoders are readily available for U.K. running ? :searchingsign:
Not sure how many decoders you will require but they do decoders for Kato here on this page just scroll down to Kato N Gauge.

I haven't done an E231, but Kato stuff that's "DCC Friendly" normally needs Kato's own decoders:
Kato 29-351 DCC Decoder EM13 for the power car

And Kato 29-352 DCC Decoder FL12 for both of the end cars

That's 3 decoders in total, I'm not aware of any UK stockists but I get them from PlazaJapan and it takes around 2 weeks for the parcel to arrive
Ooh, are we seeing another Japanese modeller? :D
