Post by: keithfre on June 30, 2014, 05:20:37 PM
Is it just me getting "There are no messages" when I try to log in to the yahoo n gauge group?

Last mail I received from the yahoo ngauge group was dated 27th June 2014 with two posts regarding the Farish Ivatt 2MT.

I jumped ship when they started that Neo rubbish, suspect that caused more than a few other deserters, the only ones who stuck to it were those using email to read and post, which to me seemed to be a most archaic method compared to Forums.

NO - still alive and just kicking. Worth persevering with [I get the daily digest] if only for access to Noel Leaver's unrivalled knowledge.

Absolutely Brian - Noel is amazing! :-)

Still use the group myself via email as one gets a very quick response which is always very helpful.

I wasn't signed up for email, I preferred to visit the website. Now there's nothing there! It doesn't even show up if Search Groups.

Hi

As above I left when they introduced Neo and don't bother with any of the groups I used to be a member of.

Cheers

It turns out to be a History problem in Firefox. After I told FF to Forget about this site it was working again.

Would be nice if Noel joined us on here as he has such a wealth of knowledge but he is not a fan of forums I believe.   :(

The Yahoo group often goes a bit quiet over the summer. People are watching sporting fixtures, going on holiday or just out doing things in the fresh air.  :o

Come TINGS in september, it will all perk up again.  :laugh2:

I think it's called Wimbledon and what's left of the World Cup. Let me remind NGF members... no question is too dumb and we'll talk about anything here... well, I will, at this time of night stuck with wife, daughter, and a visiting one from Sydney glued to aforesaid Wimbledon!

Hello

I remember the first post I made on the YahooGroup - post 1 on 22nd January 1999

It took until July for more posts to appear!

A lot of N Gauge history is recorded there - Bachmann's purchase of Graham Farish, Dapol entering N Gauge etc. :)

Best regards
Michael

I went to Wimbledon once, not a lot to see if you're not a Southern fan!
