Title: Hornby Comes Home

Don't know if anyone's seen this yet, but perhaps it points the way forwards for our N Gauge producers too:

The Paints (Humbrol) have been made in Manchester for 3 or 4 years now and some packaging I believe was always done at Margate... As for as I can understand it is only going to be small run/customised items done in the UK. The big bulk production of locos and rolling stock is indeed being moved from the now closed Sanda-Kahn factory (owned by Bachmann) and another bachman owned factory (I can't remenber the name of!) but I expect to remain overseas probably still in China but the Indian Sub-continent has been muted as an alternative...

I think the only likely impact on UK N gauge will be if Bachmann use the freed production capacity to push through some of their backlog faster...

I like the comment "It is key that we do not take these fans for granted."
Dapol/Farish - take note please :telloff:

Farish won't movde back to the UK - Bachmann's parent company is Chinese!

Happy modelling.
