Title: Who is the Cheapest for Phoenix Paints, Plus Delivery?!
Post by: Tank on May 27, 2014, 09:20:37 PM
Who is the cheapest for Phoenix/Railmatch Paints, plus delivery these days?

I've checked ebay and the price with p+p adds another £6! :o  I know you aren't supposed to send them by Royal Mail any more, so the price has gone up.  :(

I've tried Modellers Mecca, but the BR Blue I need is out of stock.  I'll keep looking, but if anyone knows somewhere super cheap then let us all know!!! :D

Cheapest for Phoenix Paints is unsurprisingly direct from the manufacturer "Phoenix Precision Paints" www.phoenix-paints.co.uk/ (http://www.phoenix-paints.co.uk/) (though I usually buy when I see them at exhibitions rather than main order)

Though they dont stock the rival railmatch of course...

Hello

Have you considered an alternative brand?

Life Color do BR Blue

£3.64 including postage http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LifeColor-BR-Rail-Blue-22ml-LC-UA813-/121191936554#ht_1320wt_1207 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LifeColor-BR-Rail-Blue-22ml-LC-UA813-/121191936554#ht_1320wt_1207)

Best regards
Michael

Thanks PLD, I'll take a look.

Many thanks Michael.  I'm not sure if it's the right blue, but I'm sure it must be?  It's for the following?

I understand that Phoenix paints are sent by a courier because their paint can't be sent by Royal Mail, hence the high price for postage.  I want some GWR Light and Dark Stone but am reluctant to pay the high postage cost for two very small tins.  I'm looking around for alternatives...
