As some will know , electrics is not my area of expertise (neither is anything else for that matter!) but I have persevered and now have station/street lights, lit buildings and electric points. A huge learning curve for me .
Now,.....I'm completely rebuilding my engineering workshop and want to create the illusion of welding, or similar, indoors with flashing lighting.
I've seen it done on many layouts but what do I need to create the "flashing" effect ?
MERG has a kit for that. PMP-8 is the one you want.

Trainsdownunder has an excellent kit for sale in the sales section. Easy to build and is a very convincing effect.
I can recommend that kit. It even has sound, and is available to forum members.
I did a very cheap and easy to build a basic welding simulator a while back ;)
Here is the link to two video showing how to build one for the princely sum of 45p :D
