Title: N Gauge/train set
Post by: Thebigshot on May 15, 2014, 08:23:06 PM
Hi Guys

I just bought the peco starter set and 4 bits of flexi track and was just going to build it as an extended train set so to speak but what I can't make my mined up is do I put a switch in and wire it for DCC or do I just wire it for analogue what would you do.

Thanks
Alan

Wire it for analogue as you can always just plug in you Dcc controller and turn all section switches on if you decide to go that way in the future.

Hi

Just make sure you use a suitable gauge wire for DCC when wiring the layout for DC otherwise you may end up with voltage drops when you switch.

Cheers

Hi

I think you have your values wrong as that would be seriously thick wire.  :D

24/0.2mm wire is what I used for mine.

Cheers
