Title: Help I’ve Shrunk the page
Post by: REGP on April 29, 2014, 10:20:38 PM
In typing an email (about N gauge BDA’s) I hit the Ctrl and – keys by mistake for shift and –

As a result the font on my message shrunk to unreadable size whilst he page borders stayed the same.

So far I have been unable to regain a normal size font.

Can anyone suggest the correct combination of keys to reverse this process?

I am running Windows 8.1 (non touch screen version) , Firefox and BT. Mail. Yahoo

Any help appreciated.

Try CTRL and + to increase the size, and CTRL and 0 (zero) to reset the size.

Thanks Mickey.

Ctrl and 0 did the trick.

I  had already tried Ctrl and + and nothing happened

If your mouse has a scroll wheel you can old down CTRL and use the wheel to zoom in and out and resize.

It's not a mistake, it's a feature! :D  How else could I read the forum after a hard day's modelling if I couldn't press 'ctrl +'  ??? :-[

As computer screen resolutions have increased dramatically over the years..(800x600 pixels was considering cutting edge not too long ago while 1920 x 1020 is now available on most screens) I have found a handy feature available in the Google Chrome web browser I use which is the "Zoom" feature available from the main menu.

The effect of this feature makes text and images larger and easier to ready on higher resolution screens.  Handily Chrome remembers the zoom setting for individual wesbites so on your next visit you don't have to make any adjustments when you  return!

Slightly off topic but hopefully helpful!
