Title: Airbrush/Melton Mowbray
Post by: Sipat on April 24, 2014, 03:58:40 PM
Is anybody on here local to me in/around the east mids who has an airbrush I could use? I want to get the weathering done on the track on my box layout and cannot afford an airbrush package for a few months!!!
Many thanks
Steve

if just for track weathering then you could just use a cheap one? or use sleeper grime or track dirt in aerosol can?

I'm in leicester - I only have v cheap airbrushes though u can borrow one if u like.

Thanks tim. Yeah it is just for grime and rust. I sold my airbrush and compressor about 3 months before coming back to n gauge. I had a gravity fed double action brush with a regulated compressor and tank. I have never used any other brush so my confidence levels are low for using anything else. I will Get another kit like i had eventually which is why i dont really want to spend on a lesser one.

Don't knock "cheap" my £25 double action works fine. The money saved was invested in a good compressor!

Thanks tim... would be good. I am on holiday next week so I will organise something after that. Would it be easier to bring Apa to you do you think?
Not knocking cheap... im a big fan of cheap. Just had no experience with it. Im thinking of getting one of the £100 kits off ebay at some point...
