Post by: bd500 on April 18, 2014, 11:52:07 PM
Hi. Newbee question I have several transformers. I have a H&M minipack (output12v.75 amps) And a honby
R911power unit (14.3v) to name but a few, all from oo gauge train sets. I am trying to put together a n gauge layout   for my grandchildren. Whats best to use (if any) The train i have is a life like n gp18 loco :searchingsign:

The standard for N and OO is the same so any controller for one should work for the other. The more modern controllers tend to have better low voltage control so give better control for N but for a childs first trainset I doubt it matters since I'm sure it'll mostly go very very fast  :D
