Title: Definitive Guide to DCC loco's?
Post by: cernem1alt on April 15, 2014, 09:29:43 PM
Is there or has anyone done a definitive guide to DCC loco's?
I am thinking along the lines of which manufacturer made which class and is DCC ready out of the box or put it another way a list of every UK outline DCC loco ever made with box code catalogue numbers.

I ask as I get mighty frustrated at looking for certain class liveried loco's only to find they are not DCC but require the usual conversions which in my opinion are a bit of a pain.

there is a magazine called 'Britain's model trains 2014' or something like that... it is in whsmiths at the start of each year....  I think that says which models are dcc ready / fitted etc.

or if you don't know then just ask in the model shop?   or ask on this forum?

a lot of the boxes say DCC ready or DCC fitted on them now....  and on the Bachmann Farish website / catalogue I think it says dcc ready next to the locos that are such.

cheers,

tim
