Title: HST Mk 3 coaches

Do the Mk 3 coaches in a HST have buffers? (Executive livery). :confused2:

no, only loco hauled ones should have buffers.

They shouldn't have them.

HST stock should not have buffers fitted.

Loco hauled stock should have buffers fitted.

This is irrespective of livery.

Hi Gang,

The above answers are 99% correct....

There were a handful of ECML TGSs fitted with buffers when the Class 91s were first introduced, running with Mk3 sets and surrogate DVTs(power cars). But if you are using Dapol coaches that is of course, academic at the moment as the TGS doesn't exist!!!

Also, the prototype HST coaches had buffers too, but that is obviously not your timeframe.
